This work represents the way emotions change and evolve, anxiety slowly dissolving into peace. It is a visual record of tension dissolving into serenity. For me sand is more than just a texture. It represents memories, grains of experience that accumulate over time and shape us. Every memory, no matter how small, is important. It builds us, defines us, and lingers beneath the surface. By embedding sand in my paintings I give shape to these fleeting moments and ground them in something concrete.  After all, we are all shaped, shifting, settling, always changing, by our own grains of memory.
